What brand identity actually is - and when it earns its place.
An identity is not a logo. It is the set of rules that lets hundreds of unrelated assets - a site plan, a signage panel, an Instagram story, a legal letterhead, a room key - look like they came from the same organisation. We design that system, then prove it under load.
Every route we present is drawn against the strategy and tested on the surfaces you actually use. That means we build the awkward things early: the small favicon, the long Greek name in a narrow field, the dark background, the printed vinyl, the co-branded developer sign with three other logos on it. If a direction only works on a presentation slide, it is not a direction.
The handover matters as much as the design. You receive a working brand book, production-ready files and templates your team can operate without calling us for a resize.
What changes when brand identity is practised in Cyprus rather than copied from a playbook written somewhere else.
- 01
Signage and print still carry the brand here
Much of what a Cypriot audience sees is physical - hoardings, storefronts, vehicle livery, menus, site boards. Identities that were designed screen-first tend to fall apart at the fabricator. We specify for both from the start.
- 02
Bilingual lock-ups are a design problem, not an afterthought
Greek and Latin characters have different rhythm and length. Wordmarks, taglines and navigation all need a considered bilingual treatment or the brand looks improvised in one of its two languages.
- 03
Third-party contexts are normal
Developers, hospitality groups and F&B operators constantly appear alongside partners, franchises and portals. The mark has to hold its own next to logos you do not control.
From the partners
“I judge an identity by the ugliest job it will ever have to do - a black-and-white fax-quality print, a 16-pixel icon, a sign made by a supplier who has never seen the brand book. Get those right and the beautiful applications look after themselves.”
“Clients do not need more options, they need a defensible one. We present few routes, each with the reasoning attached, so the decision is made on argument rather than personal taste.”

Display and body pairings with a full type scale, weights and use-cases across print, screen and signage.
03Colour system
Primary, secondary and functional colours with accessible contrast pairs and print/digital references.
04Guidelines

Answered the way we would answer them on a call.
01Can you refresh our identity without a full rebrand?
Often, yes. Where the equity in a mark is real, we keep it and rebuild everything around it - type, colour, layout, photography and templates. That is usually the faster and more commercially sensible route.
02Do you provide files for printers and signage suppliers?
Yes. Production-ready artwork, colour references for print and fabrication, and clear minimum sizes and clear-space rules are part of every handover.
03What if we have no internal design team?
Then templates matter more than theory. We build the deck, document, social and signage templates your team will actually use, and keep the guidelines short enough to be read.
