What email marketing & automation actually is - and when it earns its place.
Email is the only audience you own. Reach on social is rented and priced by auction; a permission-based list is an asset that keeps working when budgets pause. Most businesses we meet already have one, sitting unused in a platform nobody logs into, with contacts collected in five different ways and no segmentation.
We build the programme rather than the individual send: which segments exist, what each one should receive, which journeys should be automated, and how consent is captured and honoured. Then we design templates your team can actually reuse, and wire the platform into the website, GA4 and, where it exists, the CRM.
We separate the two jobs email does. Mailchimp handles marketing - newsletters, segmentation, campaigns and automations. Resend handles transactional and operational messages sent by the website itself: enquiry confirmations, internal lead notifications, booking confirmations, authentication. Mixing them is how businesses end up with marketing email in a spam folder and confirmations that never arrive.
What changes when email marketing & automation is practised in Cyprus rather than copied from a playbook written somewhere else.
- 01
Open rates stopped being a metric
Mail privacy features pre-load images and inflate opens. We report clicks, website engagement, enquiries and bookings, and treat opens as directional only.
- 02
Deliverability is a DNS problem first
SPF, DKIM and DMARC alignment on your sending domain matters more than subject lines. We set this up properly before volume goes anywhere near a list.
- 03
Seasonality is severe here
Hospitality, F&B and property all run on sharp seasonal curves. A calendar built around those curves outperforms a fixed monthly newsletter every time.
From the partners
“A newsletter should look like the brand and read like a person. Most look like a template and read like a memo, which is why nobody opens the second one.”
“The confirmation email after an enquiry is a brand moment and a conversion tool. Treating it as plumbing is a missed opportunity every single time.”

Answered the way we would answer them on a call.
01Why two platforms instead of one?
They solve different problems. Mailchimp is built for audiences, segmentation and campaigns. Resend is built for reliable, application-triggered messages sent by your website. Using one for both usually degrades either deliverability or flexibility.
02Can you migrate our existing list?
Yes, with a cleanup pass first: deduplication, invalid addresses, consent status and segmentation. We do not import contacts whose consent basis cannot be established.
03Are open rates reliable?
No. Privacy protections mean opens are inflated and inconsistent between mail clients. We prioritise clicks, website engagement, enquiries, bookings, qualified leads and sales wherever those are available.
