The business & its market

What Don's does, and what this market demands.

Don's Society Cafe is a nostalgic haven, evoking the charm of days gone by when enjoying coffee with a newspaper in hand was the epitome of relaxation. From its vintage-inspired interior to its robust 100% Arabica coffee beans, the brand exudes character at every turn. Our mission was to capture this unique essence and translate it into a digital experience, showcased across all social media channels. In addition to curating a captivating online presence, we devised an ecommerce strategy to enhance appeal to customers of third-party aggregators.

This multifaceted approach allowed us to seamlessly blend tradition with modern convenience, ensuring Don's Society Cafe remained a beloved destination for coffee aficionados. Embarking on this project was a joyous endeavor, filled with creativity and passion, as we celebrated the timeless allure of Don's Society Cafe.

A venue is a brand before it is a menu. Guests choose on concept, atmosphere and social proof, usually from a phone, usually within an hour of eating.

Margins are thin and the competitive set changes constantly - new openings reset attention every season.

Common challenges in food & beverage

  1. 01

Discovery happens on social, not search

For most venues the feed is the shop window. If the visual output is inconsistent, the concept never registers.

  2. 02

    Repeat visits, not first visits

Opening week is easy. Building a reason to return - and a way to reach past guests - is where most venues have no system at all.

  3. 03

    Concept drift

Menu, interior, music and communications are decided at different times by different people. The result reads as several brands at once.

  4. 04

    Operational load

Owners are on the floor. Content, offers and responses get made in gaps, so quality swings with how busy the week was.

  5. 05

    Delivery and dine-in tension

Aggregators bring volume at a cost and present the brand in someone else's frame, which rarely matches the room.

How we answer it: We set the concept and identity, then run a content and channel rhythm the operation can actually sustain. See our food & beverage practice.

Keep going.
